have you looked into Taylor, Monster, Wake Designs, Big Air, New Dimension. A guy we sometimes go with has a Swanson on his Rinker but I can't find a website for them.... edit: I said Swanson... I think I meant Samson as mentioned down the thread. We're talking towers, not frozen dinners here, sheesh!

Doesn't Cobalt offer an expensive solution I was going to have said that... I'd think anything that would fit a 226/246 should work on the 206... unless the backing plates are in different locations. Does anyone know for sure?

Mako,
If you are still in the market, I would recomend the Taylor Towers. These people are out of Albuquerque, NM and are a really nice group of people. I saw the first tower they produced installed and it is slick, I would recomend this tower to anyone. I think the best part of the tower that I can see it the mounting hardware is very clean and tested. You will NOT find another tower that will mount this way and not spider crack after flex. They have really taken their time to figure this out. And the best part is they will even talk to you about the advantages and not blow smoke.... You can trust them...

Mine is equipped with the most recent tower that Cobalt is using, the one used on the 222, 232, etc. When I took the factory tour, they told me that the only difference is the hardware to mount it to the boat. However. I think my boat was molded with the backing plate positions/reinforcement aligned for this new tower. (That would be my main question for yours) As always, If it works, it won't be cheap from Cobalt!...

you know, Silverbullet (over on BABC) had a really good thread following the fabrication and installation of the tower he got for the 226 he bought from FLB... was it Samson? The used his boat as the mold.

Brentb is correct. Sileverbullet over on the BABC site had a really nice tower built by Samson Sports ( www.samsonsports.com ) They have made many towers to fit fit Cobalt's. Everyone I have seen, has been done well. If we put a tower on our 200 it will be from Samson. No I dont work for them
